Hotel Suzanna

We refused to stay here. It was nothing like the pictures online. Our allocated room was in the “annexe” separate to the main apartments. The room was very poor quality, dark and dirty with mouldy curtains and a rotten wooden veranda. The gardens were completely overgrown, with broken machinery, old appliances, pipes and wiring scattered around the grounds. At the front of the property there was washing hanging on a line and old building materials dumped. Strangely as we were making our complaint a gardener appeared and started to tidy the garden and mow the grass. Definitely not a 2 star plus.

Paid a little extra for the superior room and it was well worth it. Sea view large balcony silent room made for excellent sleeping conditions. A/C is included as is circulation fan. Kitchen adequate for a holiday stay. Staff all very polite and happy to help with anything. Very large bed, bedding and towels changed every day as was the cleaning of the room. Plentiful hot water for multiple showers. Pool area, as is everywhere, is immaculate. Plentiful loungers. Only 100M from the fabulous beach with a range of amenities available. Could not fault this accommodation in any way.

When we arrived we was greeted with a smile by Kristina. It was very hot and she took us to our room on the ground floor overlooking the garden. It looked nice and clean so we dropped our bags in and went to the bar area to pay for the air conditioning which was 56 euros for the week. The kitchen is very basic, 2 hobs, toaster and a kettle with a few utensils. The beds were okay and had new sheets everyday. I did notice all dead mosquitoes on the wall all around the studio that hadnt been cleaned up. There was a few in the room flying around which woke me up and that night me and my husband had been bitten on our face. Mine had gone really bad which made my whole face swell up. My husband killed a total of 12 mosquitoes in the room the 2nd night . We had bought a plug in from the supermarket aswell. We couldn't leave our balcony doors open at all in the day as they would fly in as we were on the ground floor with a garden view. Everytime we left our room,the cleaner would open thw doors when she was cleaning and they would fly in again. Apart from the mosquitoes, it was okay. We only used it as a base to explore the island. We only used the pool once as we rather the beach which was close by and so beautiful. Would definitely recommend Skiathos but just be prepared for the Mosquitoes.

Beautiful apartments set in very pretty gardens and close to shops, bars and restaurants. Very comfortable rooms with all facilities including air con. The owners are constantly cleaning and maintaining the grounds and are the nicest friendliest family you would ever meet. Spotless pool which was most welcome on a hot day with plenty of sunbeds. Can’t recommend enough my husband and I had a relaxing and peaceful time. Theres no bar but Nicos is right next door and the Rose garden just two minutes walk. Julie and Rob Heath.

One of the best hotels in Greece we have visited. A friendly family drives the hotel. Close to the beach Achladies. There is a boat taxi in to Skiathos centre. The bus stop number 10 is just outside the hotel. Shop and bakery and some restaurants close to the hotel.

We were plagued with the owner's dog jumping up at us, the owners didn't seem to care. If we tried to relax on a sunbed it wasn't long before the dog was there, sometimes climbing on top of you on the sunbed! I only heard the owner tell the dog twice to get off. At one point the dog stole my wife's coat and started playing with it and we didn't feel as though we could use our ground floor terrace to eat out as the dog appeared and started to bother us. The food was not up to much either, I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
