Coille Darach B&B

Very nice and modern B&B in the hills above Strontian. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. The breakfast was abundant. Definitely a place to choose if traveling in the region. The owner is friendly and helpful with advice on the area.

This is a very beautiful B&B, lovely decor and well laid out. Mary is one of the friendliest and most accommodating hosts we've met and Denise her help, is just lovely, nothing was too much trouble. There is a tea room opposite with the local shop just over a mile down the road.

We spent 1 night at Coille Darach on our road trip through Scotland and received a very warm welcome. We very much appreciated the comfortable bed, quality bedding and towels and enjoyed one of the best breakfasts on our whole trip. There was a separate seating area/ balcony which we were also able to use. We should have booked dinner at a local restaurant in advance, but were fortunate to be fitted in to the Strontian hotel restaurant and enjoyed a delicious evening meal with views over the water.

Wonderful location. Comfy bed, clean quiet room. Lovely to have fresh milk and wee fridge in room. Great shower and Mary was fab - thank you for being so accommodating with our breakfast strangeties! Highly recommend. Check out Strontian Hotel for evening meals. The walks and scenery just on the doorstep are breathtaking.

We stayed here one evening, after a wonderful week exploring part of the west coast. It was a very new property beautifully finished, with a simply marvellous super host , Mary. Breakfast was a delight, although one couple waited a little longer as we were chatting! Great place to stay, highly recommended, if you are visiting the area.

We had an amazing stay here last week. The house is fabulous in lovely quiet surroundings we even had deer in the garden and the room and breakfast were lovely . We will definitely return as there are so many things we didn't have time to do during our 2 days.

First impressions of the Coille Darrach property were very positive indeed. It's a gorgeous architect designed building. Beautiful inside and out. Our host was lovely. We immediately felt comfortable with Mary. Our double room with ensuite was perfect and very comfortable and the fridge was a nice touch. We also had the use of a big balcony. Our breakfast was amazingly fresh and reflected the unspoilt living environment which surrounded us. My only regret is that we didn't book more nights.

I don't even know where to begin reviewing this property and its host. Every single detail was finished to perfection. Fabulous shower. Comfy bed. Beautiful bed linen. Lots of TV channels/Netflix/prime video. Mary went over and above in every way. I was greeted with a sparking rose upon arrival. I had asked Mary for the use of her microwave as I didn't know the area and what food places were available. She wouldn't hear of this and gave me a Fabulous roast beef dinner!!!! Breakfast was also amazing. Nothing was bother at all. I can't recommend this property enough. Beautiful home and very welcoming owners. If there was a 10 star option, then this would be my rating . Super accueil de Mary dans sa jolie maison près dans les bois à Strontian. La maison a un accès privé pour les guests et possède 3 chambres magnifiques à l étage. Un petit déjeuner dantesque le meilleur de notre séjour. Ce minuscule village est complètement isolé mais bon point de départ pour excursion à la journée sur la magnifique péninsule d Ardnamurchan et une autre à Glennfinan pour voir passer le train entre autres. Si vous rentrez après 20h/21h, vous verrez des dizaines et des dizaines de biches et cerfs le long de la route.
