Hampton by Hilton Aberdeen Airport

Upon arriving late on 20 July 2025 I was given Room 229. Whilst unpacking I found two empty wine bottles in the room and it was not particularly clean. I would have left immediately and found another hotel. However the Night Duty staff member called Richard Cockburn tidied up the room and removed the empty wine bottles. He also undertook to ensure the room was fully deep cleaned next day by Housekeeping. All hotels suffer problems from time to time but it is when and how they are sorted that really counts.

To be avoided at all costs. For a hotel pretty much isolated a car is useful to get here, what’s not useful is the parking or lack of. No fault of the staff who must get flak from guests pretty much daily. Park at the airport at cost or park in a field is the only option. The airport is a 15 min walk away and not viable during my first attempt to park as it was pouring and the field option was like a bad Glastonbury. I’d like to say the service inside at the F & B bar was better, it wasn’t. I asked at the bar if I could order food there I was directed to a table with a QR code which I duly did. 30 mins elapsed only for a member of staff to say that I couldn’t order via the QR code as they hadn’t taken card details on check-in and therefore could I order at the bar. Just an incredibly badly run property from check-in to departure. I’d rather stay in leaky tent at aforementioned Glastonbury than return to this utter shambles.

The parking at this hotel terrible, not enough spaces. Car park to small for hotel and fills up very early. We arrived at 5 and no spaces at all. Hotel surrounded by double yellow lines and also a field/bog behind it, which staff DO suggest you can park on despite the risk of getting a ticket or getting stuck. It took staff around 10 mins of me moaning at them to tell me i could park at the main airport which was around a 15 min walk away. Due to someone leaving i did manage to get a space at the hotel eventually however it was pretty stressful.Food is very average and both coffee machines broken at breakfast this morning…. I feel sorry for the staff as i can imagine they have to deal with parking issues day and out. Just poor planning from hilton/developers to open a hotel with not enough parking

This hotel is quite honestly the worst I have ever stayed in. Firstly the car park was full and clearly not enough parking for the number of guest booked. When asking staff on wheres best to park they advised the boggy field at your own risk followed by the street where double yellows are positioned. There is a sign that suggests a reduced parking option at the airport but none of the three staff members mentioned this until I asked for more information. Secondly, The food ordering process is poor, you have to scan a QR code, place your order against a table number. sounds good until you want to also order a drink with your meal which you cannot do via the app, instead you must go to a separate bar and order and pay seperatly, who thought this is a good idea whilst some takes over your table that you've ordered food to whilst getting your drink. Thirdly, all staff seemed to be massively under trained and uninterested and one in particular was rude.

So, maybe it's just Hamptons? This one: Reception really bad, No restaurant staff, dirty towels, Hairs / stains on sheets...... The list goes on. The facility is OK....... but. These hotels are mainly franchises. I don't think they do anything to support the Hilton brand. Hilton is a mark of quality. Hamptons are the opposite. Hamptons are generally managed by people who are representing the owner. The owners are relatively small organisations. What do they care about regular Hilton guests. Time is up, I'm not doing any more Hamptons. They are more like Youth Hostels than Hilton Hotels!

A great place to stay. The reception staff were helpful, making our check-in process easy. The room was of a good standard, except the headboards showed some signs of damage/wear and tear, and clearly needed replacing. When we mentioned this to reception staff later, we were told that the hotel was in the process of replacing all of the headboards, and our room was due to be done soon. The buffet style breakfast was excellent. Lots of variety, catering for all tastes and dietary requirements.
