Kasteel Van Nieuwland - De Postiljon BVBA

A nice hotel in beautiful surroundings, quiet. On some details a bit seasoned, but the room was good overall. We used diner, that was good as well, and compliments to the staff, friendly and service minded. We were lucky to have an afternoon with sun, so we also enjoyed the terrace at the garden (park) side. Breakfast basic, but complete and good.

Spent just one night here and wish it was more. This is a beautiful hotel housed in an old mansion-type building in a rural area of Aarschot. It was a little difficult to find due to the narrow lanes and fields, but if you follow a SatNav you won't go wrong. The gentleman who checked us in was extremely friendly, took our cases to our rooms, explained the layout of the hotel and even said he'd booked a place for dinner for us given the late hour. Dinner was good, although the menu was limited, they went out of their way to cook a special dish for us and the food was stunning. After dinner we relaxed in the hotel bar and chatted with other guests and it made for a really nice atmosphere. My room was massive, with a really comfortable bed. My only issue, albeit a slight one, there was no door to the shower/wash basin, which is surrounded by mirrors and in line with the bed. This means when you sleep you are looking at a reflection of yourself all night (some people might enjoy it, I didn't). Overall though, this warm, pleasant family-run hotel is a gem. I would stay again no question.

No es un hotel apto para familias, solo tienen habitaciones para 2 personas. Pedimos unas habitaciones juntos pero no las tienes. Las habitaciones no son comodo, ni amplio. Los banos pequenos y muy sencillo. El servicio poco amable al momento del check-in y el check-out. Lo unico bueno sera el desayuno.

Deze accommodatie zou bij iedereen een begrip moeten zijn! Al bij het onthaal voel je warmte en genegenheid van deze mensen voor hun gasten. Je bent er geen klant maar een gast. En dat voel je gedurende je ganse verblijf. Niets gekunsteld maar ware en oprechte genegenheid. Het eten was ook heel lekker en met veel liefde klaargemaakt. En wanneer is iemand content: wanneer die meer krijgt dan die verwacht. Dank je wel mevrouw Arlette en echtgenoot en Maxim. We hebben een ongelooflijke tijd gehad. En we komen zeker terug. Bonne nuit et très bon petit-déjeuner. Les patrons sont très agréables et ont apporté une aide lors de la découverte d'un mauvais fonctionnement de la douche. La chambre était moderne et propre, la salle de bain était plutôt décevante ( très petite ). Le petit-déjeuner était très bon. Personnel serviable. Magnifique parc.

De route naar het kasteel was er een van “weet je zeker dat je hier in moet rijden?” Maar eenmaal de navigatie gevolgd kwamen we netjes op locatie. De hotel eigenaar was uiterst behulpzaam en begeleide ons netjes naar de kamers. De kamer was gedateerd maar functioneel. Een beetje alsof je bij opa en oma thuis kwam vroeger zeg maar…..heeft zeker zijn charmes. Snachts goed geslapen, het was lekker stil buiten. Het ontbijt was erg karig maar goed genoeg om een dag mee te beginnen. Wel vond ik de filterkoffie wat slap v smaak. Later zag ik dat je ook een cappuccino kan bestellen. Doe ik de volgende keer …
