Dear Travelers, do not believe descriptions of this property. Specially if you think you will pay extra for a deluxe room with unbeatable view on Loire River and/or the Castle. You will just get none of this, a tiny window you should reach standing on a chair to see a extremely small part of the river. So you get no view, simply as this (see pictures). We complained to the pleasant and alone lady at the reception : she can’t do anything, the manager is off duty abd will see tomorrow. Yes but tomorrow we will be gone. Lying to clients for short term benefits is never a good way. Below description of the beautiful view (?…) on their website that was the reason to book it for me. Waren für drei Nächte hier und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Lage ist gut, ruhig, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Stadtzentrum und dem Schloss entfernt. Das Zimmer ist sehr komfortabel. Der Parkplatz war im Hof, ich konnte nicht rein. Die Angestellten kamen, um zu helfen, als sie es sahen. Das Frühstück ist nicht sehr reichhaltig, aber alle Speisen sind von hoher Qualität.Es wird empfohlen dort ein Abendessen zu bestellen.Es ist lecker und der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Das ausgewählte Familienzimmer verfügt über ein Schlafsofa, das zum Schlafen geöffnet werden kann, das sehr geräumig ist

This château is beautiful. It is carved into a cliff and has a huge lawn and accompanying woods to explore. One walk in the woods dedicated to this hotel and you'll be transported to another time and place. In the late afternoon the light is dappled by the surrounding trees and casts a warm glow over the bridges, river, and meadows. The staff is professional and gracious. We ate 2 meals here, one dinner and one breakfast. They were both wonderful. The real standout was breakfast. Madamoiselle delivered goods that were fresh and either locally sourced or homemade. The jams and honey are divine, and both are made at the castle (bee hives located on site). During breakfast the owner stopped by to chat with us. He was an absolute delight. He is passionate about the chateau and the local faire. Be sure to chat with him on your stay!

Unsere waren angenehmen, wenn ein wenig auf der kompakten Seite. Das Frühstück war gut, wenn vielleicht ein wenig teurer als in einigen anderen Hotels. Eine Überraschung war die Ankündigung auf jedem Tisch, die Gäste daran erinnert, keine Nahrung zu nehmen! Ist das wirklich notwendig? Das Hotel ist ein wenig aus der Stadt, so ist es ein wenig zu Fuß zum Stadtzentrum. Ein Problem ist, dass einige der Straße auf engen Decken der Hauptstraße ist. Das sagte, es gibt Taxinummern auf der Karte, die das Hotel handt aus. Das könnte eine bessere Möglichkeit sein, nach und aus dem Stadtzentrum zu kommen.

Das Hotel verfügt über ein freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Wenn Sie die Bewertungen gelesen haben, wissen Sie, dass es ein Restaurant auf der Unterkunft gibt. Das Frühstücksmenü ist großartig (im Vergleich zu den meisten anderen Ibis und Mercure Eigenschaften haben wir in Frankreich geblieben. Das Abendessenmenü ist hauptsächlich Italienisch mit einem oder zwei französischen Angeboten. Im Gegensatz zu einigen Bewertungen habe ich gelesen, ist die Pizza sehr gut (wie in Italien gut). Hier sind einige Dinge, die Sie über dieses Hotel wissen sollten. Es ist etwa 2.5 Meilen von Amboise im Zentrum eines Industrieparks! Das Hotelrestaurant ist Ihre einzige Option, wenn Sie nicht gehen 1.2 Meilen nach McDonald’s oder ein Taxi in die Stadt nehmen (17 Euro auf einer Straße) oder die lokale Busroute fahren (.70 Euro auf einer Straße). Wir fanden den lokalen Bus eine lebensfähige Option - fragen Sie auf der Front Desk für den Zeitplan. Dieses Hotel ist im Vergleich zu den meisten Ibis-Hotels ziemlich alt und wurde vor mehreren Jahren renoviert. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein (je europäische Standard) und sind sauber. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert nicht gut. Wir waren in zwei verschiedenen Zimmern und mit der Luft auf der niedrigsten Lage keiner Zimmer würde kühlen unter 29 Centigrade. Der AußenTempel während wir da waren war 19!!! Wir beschwerten uns, so dass sie uns ins zweite Zimmer mit noch keine Klimaanlage bewegten. Das Frontdesk sah erschüttert aus und schlug vor, die Luft auszuschalten und das Fenster zu öffnen! Dieses Hotel und die meisten anderen Immobilien Ibis haben keine Fensterbildschirme (erfunden im 19. Jahrhundert, um Insekten-Borreliose zu stoppen). Am Morgen waren meine Frau und ich beide mit Moskitobiten bedeckt. Sie sollten auch wissen, dass es die Politik der Ibis Hotels in Frankreich ist, ihre Systeme von Kühlung auf Heizung umzuwandeln - keine Ausnahmen für den Gastkomfort. Wir haben überall in Frankreich im Ibis und Mercure-Eigenschaften verblieben, so dass wir sie kennen. Wir gingen dann zu einem Mercure Hotel in Saumur und es war wunderschön! Die Luft funktionierte dort gut.

Hotel propre ,bien situé, mais gros point négatif : l hôtesse à l accueil: accueil déplorable, mal agréable se permet de nous dire arrogante et sur d elle que la chambre été réserver que pour 1 jour et pas régler,alors que la chambre été payer et réserver pour 2 jours depuis 2 mois! Après lui avoir dit de bien observer son PC,elle s en est enfin aperçu ! Waou! Pas même 1 petite excuse...bref d une impolitesse et d une arrogance totale on a vraiment eu l air de déranger.C est la première fois que somme reçu de la sorte dans un ibis.En revanche personnel ménager sait dire bonjour à la clientèle lui!et fait son travail correctement

Sehr gutes Schlosshotel, sehr komfortabel vom Schloss bis zum Garten. Das Hotelrestaurant ist ein mit einem Michelin-Stern ausgezeichnetes Restaurant, das am Tag unserer Abreise gebucht werden kann, und es ist ein großartiges Abendessen. Die Einrichtungen im Hotel sind auch sehr einfach, was man gut genießen kann. Es gibt nicht viele Parkplätze im Inneren, aber es sollte frei sein.Wenn Sie voll sind, sollten Sie vor dem Hotel parken. Es gibt keinen Aufzug, daher wird empfohlen, bei relativ kurzer Check-in-Zeit die Box ins Auto zu stellen und nur die notwendigen Gegenstände ins Hotel zu bringen. Nichts anderes, es ist wirklich ein tolles Hotel. Der Garten hat einen geheimen Waldweg, der sehr schön ist.

We stayed two nights at this hotel on the way to and from a fortnight in the Cevennes. The service we received from all the staff was excellent. Everyone smiled, was well informed and clearly wanted our stay to be enjoyable. Full marks! Both times we had a room with a beautiful view down over the town to the chateau. Each room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Again full marks! This would have been a five star review had it not been for the variable quality of the meals. On the way down we had supper in the restaurant. My three choices were fine but my wife's were completely underwhelming. Breakfast the next day in the restaurant was chaotic. It was seething with groups and everything was running out. On the way back we decided to use room service. The menu and prices were identical and the meals arrived on time and hot enough. Sadly, the quality was again variable. The medallions of pork which I had had perfectly cooked on our way down were replaced by inch thick chunks of dry, overcooked meat of which my wife could eat only a fraction. Breakfast in our room, however, was just fine. We would visit again, seek our evening meals elsewhere and breakfast in our room.
