Neos Kosmos Athen|2.92km vom StadtzentrumWe stayed here as for a long weekend for my fiancé’s birthday. When we arrived we were given a room upgrade. We were on the 6th floor with a veranda where we could see the Acropolis which looked beautiful at night when it was all lit up. The bed was large and comfy, the bathroom was great and the shower was a really big area. The room was very modern and during the current COVID-19 situation we found it all to be very clean. Our room wasn’t cleaned through the day but the option was there to ask for clean towels and linens should we need them. The hotel it’s self is beautiful and very stylish and quirky. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always greeted us whenever you were leaving or returning. The hotel itself is on a busy road but we never felt it a problem. We left the windows open in the veranda and closed the sliding door to our room and we didn’t hear the traffic at all. It’s slightly out of the centre but with a 15-20 min walk you can get to Acropolis and a beautiful place called Plaka, here we found some great restaurants and little gift shops. In one day we managed to visit Acropolis, Acropolis museum and Temple of Olympian Zeus. The other side of Plaka is another lovely place called Monestiraki which had some nice restaurants and a flea market. The walk from the hotel to Plaka looked run down but we loved this after all it is a very old city and adds character to the place. Lots of coffee shops on the way too. We would definitely reccomend staying at Athenaeum Grand Hotel and if ever we visit Athens again, this hotel would be our first choice. Thank you to everyone there for making our stay pleasurable.
