Bacolod City|4.49km vom StadtzentrumStaff is excellent; pool is refreshing — but management needs training. We mostly enjoyed our 5 day stay...but, with some reservations. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable (but the fabric headboards are itchy, should be upgraded to some other type of surface that is easier to maintain) The bathroom sink area is small and was always wet from hand washing. (shower area large — unnecessarily) There was no offer to change the towels & bedding — but they should have. When facing a crisis — I did ask for more TP. Out side: The vehicle parking is a real problem — limited only to a few small spaces in front where the guard and the hotel vans are parked (!Huh?) — or around the corner next to who knows what!! (Parking spaces are very narrow and my vehicle door was banged from car next to it) Fitness room by the pool: large & nice (but limited to free weights, treadmills & sit-up boards, just no back-exercise-machines for middle-agers) OK, enough complaining…..but, just one more: my real peeve is the free breakfast. This is always the same issue with every hotel now (even with the previously top-shelf Fisher Hotel down the street) Nobody tries to impress you with their culinary delights anymore! (And, don’t blame this on Covid) They simply serve the absolute, cheapest, minimal breakfast possible because it was advertised — and, nobody seems to care! Just don’t assume that customers don’t notice. What’s my prediction? Savy hoteliers will begin to put a little more effort into feeding their guests — so they feel like he cares just a little more than the guy down the street. It’s just a suggestion. Maybe the towel, the parking, or the lack of some fitness thing would fade away next to the awesome, tasty, free breakfast delight that swept Mr. Cranky guest off his feet every morning! Actually, there are lots of ways to be unique or savy. Mr. Hotelier, these are tough times for lots of businesses. It’s also a great opportunity to step up to the plate and prove to the guests that your hotel really does have something to offer. Just something to chew on.
